where should my boyfriend and I go on holiday next summer?
the UK and we are hoping to go on vacation for 10 days-2 weeks of the next summer, but we can not decide where. its between Brazil, Cancun, Florida, Cuba and Dominican Republic. want a relaxing, warm and with plenty to do thats the beach. our budget is around 1500/1800 kilos each. any suggestions would help! x
It was the Dominicans at the beginning of the year ..... yes, we had a big party, and can be very relaxing .... but away from the Hotel Grand Flamenco Punta Cana! Here they have their own system of time compartido''''bloque, who, though supposedly only allowed to approach you once, the representatives were an absolute nightmare, always trying to flog these apartments at inflated prices, which are situated within the hotel! I saw a lot of people just give up, and have to spend an entire morning of your holiday being bombarded with hard sell techniques !.... We said many times that we live in Cyprus, and a trip to the Dominican was a unique experience because of the rigmarole flying, etc ... but only that he would not step! Most days, we esacped the hotel next door for a real rest and relaxation! In addition, seem to point to themselves above all to Americans flash easily cash to tip the waiters at all! If you decide to go there, be sure to take a mix of dollars, and Dominican Pesos! You will find that they are so willing to sell things to you at inflated prices in dollars, when in fact the same currencies things cost in Pesos! My son bought cigarettes, and a packet of crisps, which reached $ 12 ..... nearly £ 10 in time because Pesos exchange rate, but when he bought the same things a few days, and paid into: in fact cost him just over £ 3.00! Cancun and Cuba is brilliant!

Cheap Calls to Brazil: Pros and Cons of Prepaid Calling Cards
One of the more popular methods when making overseas calls is to simply head over to the nearest store that sells prepaid calling cards offering remarkably low rates per minute. As a whole, it seems to be a bargain, but is it really? With the influx of a variety of new options, many now find that they are sticking to their trusty prepaid cards simply out of familiarity, and wonder if they are being left behind as others save more money for better services.
Why use prepaid calling cards?
When making cheap calls to Brazil, there are really only two things that most people consider. Of the two, the more apparent is the cost of such a call, while the second is the general line quality that they receive. Most prepaid calling cards offer both competitive prices and general similar line quality as other options in that price range.
Therefore, the difference essentially boils down to the fact that it is prepaid. As such it appeals in very similar fashion to prepaid mobile phones, where many find that it is far easier to keep track of their spending habits. Also, may prepaid cards for cheap international calls come with bonus credit attached, and as such assuming you're buying a card that costs twenty pounds, you may get up to twenty five or thirty pounds of credit.
Generally, such savings further appeal to people, and keep them buying prepaid cards.
The downside of prepaid cards
Of course, just as it shares the bright points of being prepaid, it also shares the dim ones. Imagine how annoying would be if in the middle one of a persons cheap calls to Brazil, they found themselves out of credit. On top of that, the options in a situation such as the above would be to either not finish the call, or take a trip out to the store to buy another prepaid card. Naturally, it is for this reason that many who call overseas on a regular basis do not prefer this option.
Furthermore, depending on the type of call, other possibilities may be even more appealing. For example if the contacted person in Brazil has a PC, it would be far more effective to simply use an internet call via such services as Skype.
Another, but less obvious, downside is that losing the prepaid card means a complete loss of all the purchased credit. Knowing this, it is wise to keep prepaid cards carefully if they are being used, because losing one is quite literally akin to throwing money away.
Bottom line: It amounts to a matter of taste. Prices between prepaid cards for cheap calls to Brazil and other options are close enough that the only real concern is whether a person fancies using prepaid options. Seeing as typical cards can be bought at values as low as five pounds, it can't hurt to try out one such card just to see if it really does suit.
