how rocks are formed or Polish?

I have a friend whose bday is coming and I do not have a small collection of rocks and found some that you going to like, but need to be polished. What things could use that might be in a house (cleaning, nail buffers, etc.).

I was able to polish some rocks with an empty plastic bottle (with insurance cover). If you fill the jar halfway with sand, then add enough water to cover the top of the sand, and add the rock, then you can add rocks and shake the container for a very long time. When you do this for a few weeks, the rock is polished. Only have a friend or two help roll the bottle around. Good luck!

Yosemite is much bigger than a valley with 3000 ft rock walls and incredible climbing. It is an opening for the energies of the world's most passionate and adventurous people. Yosemite rock climbing attracts the souls of climbers and non-climbers to reach for something beyond them and to travel to a place, physical and mental, where they have never been before.

Yosemite rock climbing has a very challenging path which is irresistible. Climbers who manage to go to Yosemite have the experience of their lifetime. Yosemite Valley and Tuolumne Meadows are well-known for their exquisite domes and granite walls and fine weather is a perfect combination that has made Yosemite National Park an absolute paradise for rock climbers from all over the globe.

Given the outstanding natural beauty of the surrounding lakes, meadows, and forests, it's really hard to imagine a better place to learn all the basic techniques of rock climbing or to experience the ultimate adventure of El Capitan.

Yosemite rock climbing Skills are the one to be known by the new climbers who are first attempting climbing in this spot. At first, Yosemite climbs feel strange and insecure. They need immense- strength and technique not easily acquired at your local gym.

Due to the glacier polished rock surface which is slick, and not many handholds, the climber is forced to grip feet and hands in cracks or sometimes even on nothing. There is more balance and subtlety involved than strength. When your natural character is to grab and pull, often you need to relax and balance.

Yosemite climbs just take additional patience and resolve and is not impossible. It is also true that climbers who are new to Yosemite initially find it impossible but they finally develop the fine techniques which is necessary for their climb.

Unfortunately, there are very few easy climbs to introduce you to Yosemite rock climbing. So it is a difficult job for the amateurs to attempt. If you cannot take up 5.8 or harder, it's a good idea to climb with someone who is already used to hiking in this spot and can give you pointers, several useful facts set up top ropes, and leads you up multi-pitch routes.

Most climbing in Yosemite is conventional climbing where you climb cracks and place your own gear. You have to be well trained in placing your gear, managing your ropes and setting your anchor before venturing out to Yosemite for climbing. It is not very easy to learn the Yosemite crack technique. Your best bet is to start top roping the very lowest grades of cracks having less difficulty level.
